MEAL BALANCES

Beginning Friday, May 15th, all school meal accounts must be paid up and current. No charges will be allowed the last week of school (May 18-22). Lunch accounts which still have money in them will be rolled over to the next school year, except for 5th grade. All 5th graders will receive an automatic refund: if a refund is under $5, the student will sign to receive cash in the office; if over $5, a check will be mailed home.

If parents would like their money refunded and not rolled over into next year, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by May 15th. If no request is made, account balances will automatically carry over. Any questions, feel free to call the office. You may also request (by email) that your student's lunch balance be donated into the general lunch fund, which goes towards unpaid meal accounts. Thank you for your help as the school year winds down!

READERS ARE LEADERS
We strongly encourage you to make it a goal for your children to read 20 minutes at home every night, and for you to read to your children. The National Education Association states that having kids read on their own at home is a crucial component of becoming good readers. Young readers need to become practiced at recognizing letters and sounds. The only way to keep improving is to practice! The U.S. Department of Education found that the more students read for fun on their own time, the higher their reading scores.
